Saturday (May, 17, 2008): This is a whole day of rainshowers accompanied by strong winds, which attacked Pangasinan in particular. Many families, for sure, have evacuated in secure houses for the fright of a flashflood--Thank God it didn't happen elsewhere!Yesterday morning, upon knowing that we don't have classes at VMU, my college friend, who is a boarder in San Carlos City, told me that San Carlos City has been overwhelmed by the typhoon; and they're estimating a week without electric current. What I actually saw on my way to San Carlos City are fallen sturdy trees and devastated old houses... You can really see their poor situation. Despite the people's despair I see some hope in their situation because the good Lord is near to them.
Disappointed, I returned to my hometown without knowing what great event shall happen after a few hours...
