_Have a joyful Christmas!

_authentic_lloyd

Before I will get my hands off our PC for a couple of weeks, I made this poster of me and I put my universal username here on the 'net! I made this using our Photoshop 7.0...

_Excited...

Aside from I will enter the common struggle of the Nursing students, the 3rd year life, this coming semester, I also decided to have my board&lodging when I enter 3rd year. So, I am ready to pack and live independently (not so 'coz I would surely come back home during alternate weekends...hehe). I'm so excited to meet my boardmate(s)! For sure, I will no longer be late on my first subjects. LOL I guess, I can start saving my allowance and have less expenses now. huh? Also, I have more time to study. If my boardmate aren't naughty... >>I hope so But I would surely miss my family, our PC, our domesticated poultry animals and pets, our home...

_Two Days, Two Nights

I just came from Cobol, San Carlos City, Pangasinan because I visited my grandpa and cousins there. I am so happy to go to the house of my second cousins--Sherwin Bryan and Rusty--and talk with them. Although their entire barangay has no electric current yet, we enjoyed chatting. For the fi rst time, I have the chance to meet both their parents. I also took pictures of them. That night, a heavy rain fell. But since we ate our dinner very early, we also slept as early as eight o'clock. The coldness of night made our sleep tight. The next morning, I joined Rowel and his friend, Marvin, in Calasiao. We visited the shrine of Senior Divino Tesoro as well as their church. Of course, picture-taking is never too late. I took every advantages. When we return at ten o'clock, we bought the famous delicacy of Calasiao--their delicios puto ! That afternoon, I went back home... I thought of going also to my mother's hometown, but I declined when I learned that it's too late. I must ...

_Reunited with my Elementary Classmates

from left to right (standing): Roma Amor Tagulao, Jonnalyn Rapada, Gretta De Vera with her child, Riza Baay, Joseph Junio, NiƱo Ver Bautista, Richi Diego; (squat): *me*, Ryan Maniling, Baltazar Manuel, and Ivy Divino (Not included in the picture: Jowald Maniling and King Ezekiel Beltran to make us 13 . ) This is the first time for us elementary classmates to be in one place again after our graduation last March 2002. All the fun we had that afternoon! Teasing and laughters while we recall past experiences of our childhood. And we have talked a lot about our careers, other classmates, current events, our goals in life ( "After 10 years..." ) and anything under the sun! I didn't plan this reunion not until I get frustrated when I learned that we have no classes at VMU. It all started when I texted Riza--that's nearly eleven o'clock in the morning--and told her to go to the house. (It's my first time to tell it on a classmate, although she's residing a few...

_Is this really the start of sunny day?

Is this really the start of sunny day? All I'm certain is that this is a fine "Sun"day for me. Looking at the clouds, I see the cotton-stuffed blue sky... This is God's way of showing hope to everyone... "There's always a sun behind the stormy clouds"

_The storm has passed away

__________________ ~ rain, rain, rain ~ Saturday (May, 17, 2008): This is a whole day of rainshowers accompanied by strong winds, which attacked Pangasinan in particular. Many families, for sure, have evacuated in secure houses for the fright of a flashflood--Thank God it didn't happen elsewhere! Yesterday morning, upon knowing that we don't have classes at VMU, my college friend, who is a boarder in San Carlos City, told me that San Carlos City has been overwhelmed by the typhoon; and they're estimating a week without electric current. What I actually saw on my way to San Carlos City are fallen sturdy trees and devastated old houses... You can really see their poor situation. Despite the people's despair I see some hope in their situation because the good Lord is near to them. Disappointed, I returned to my hometown without knowing what great event shall happen after a few hours...

_At last!

It's not that painful. Just as what I'm always telling to myself since I heard of this procedure: "I can do it; I am sure that it's tolerable". As a beginner ("first timer"), I'm not excused from committing errors. I mistakenly aspirated a quite amount of the medication--it's supposed to be only 0.1 cc, but I miscalculated it to 0.2--from that ampule into a syringe with 0.9 cc of distilled water. Therefore, I need to dispose it and prepare another again. A have learned from that mistake. We're not actually prepared. It was only that morning that we decided to be partners. Yet we (my partner and I) had done the return demo as successful as it should be. Thanks be to God.

_As a nursing student...

Intradermal and Intramuscular injections: our final Nursing skills demonstration for this summer class. Last two weeks, we performed the proper handwashing technique and made unoccupied patient bed. I'm so excited for this painful gain! I also feel nervous thinking that my partner will scream upon my first attempt on him. Good luck to us!

_This is it!

I've deleted my previous blog which is authentic-lloyd-gundayao.blogspot.com because it no longer supports the "template" view. I'm hoping that I can organize this the way I am doing it before. I also want that this blogsite will have a black background.
